James 3:17
The wisdom that comes from God is first of all pure, than peaceful, gentle, and easy to please.
Today as I write this, this is what this verse means to me. He was pure, He had no personal offenses towards other people. He was peaceful, He was not anxious about anything and knew that God's plan for Him was perfect. Even when people did things which were challenging to handle or when things were uneven around Him. He was easy to please, He didn't have demands on others as to how they should behave around Him but was thankful for everything. Maybe next year when I read this verse from the book "Grace for the Moment" by Max Lucado, given to me by my dear sister a couple of years ago, maybe it will mean something different to me, January 29th, 2011.
Yesterday I spoke with my oldest daughter, a very encouraging uplifting conversation. I proceeded to make a list of things to do each day Monday through Friday. Today I will make a list of extra things which need to be accomplished beyond the everyday tasks.
Today on my list, it's Friday,
Wash the towels,
Clean the bathroom including the floor
dinner at 6pm
bathe Chloe at 7:30
wash my hair in am
dust the kitchen
windows and clean and inspect the fridge
throw away old food and begin shopping list for Saturday
I also want to bake rolls today.
As I go about doing this I want to pray about the verse I read to see where I'm not living like Jesus and beg Him to help me overcome, bad complaining thoughts, anxieties about income and finances, and unthankfulness.
So far the best way I have found to overcome these things is to humbly worship and thank God for everything good and bad as I go through my day.
I better get going as I have taken way too long on my computer this morning and have a lot to get done. (I wasted a good part of my morning on cafe world this morning, talked to my oldest daughter on the phone, she is helping me to stay accountable)
It is 10:47.
Chloe says her nails need to be stylish, new word she just heard, and is trying to explain to me. So we better do that today too. ha ha
:ate breakfast together with Chloe.
:started the towels
:got dressed washed my hair (I put mousse in it and fluffed it with my fingers and didn't get to hair drying so now it's dry and I look weird, not that I'm going anywhere)
got Chloe dressed in a little red dress with black trim. She picked out sparkly black leggings. When she was picking out shoes she took a pair of blue flip flops out and said, "hmmmm, blue should be interesting." and put them on.
:brushed teeth
:got a batch of buns ready to rise.
last batch I made didn't rise at all, I didn't know what went wrong so I threw the yeast away and bought new, a different brand. I warmed the oven before I covered the dough and put it in there to rise. Hopefully they turn out great this time.
I used to bake really nice buns.
It's 1:25pm.
:had lunch, Chloe had peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich and I had peanut butter and banana
:punched down the dough and washed last nights and today's dishes. not quite done but almost. put the towels in the dryer.
3:14 time to shape the buns
shaped the buns
trimmed and painted Chloe's finger and toenails.
4 pm
buns are turning out beautiful, I used to have such light and fluffy buns. It was definitely the yeast. I'm so excited. I will try bread next. Maybe tomorrow if I start early in the day.
12 large hamburger size rolls and 30 smaller dinner ones.
