When things come at me fast
It throws me for a loop.
I didn't see it coming
and am knocked down off my feet.
I can't think about the pain
just have to hold on tight.
Just have to know you love me
that with you I am alright.
Just need to know that blindness
about the needs of others
is something you allowed.
I need to be a tower
on which others safely lean,
but when I am freely falling
a fortress is what I need.
I see I've made mistakes
unknowingly for sure.
I'm grieving for the others,
and know you'll heal their hurts,
with your huge love,
hold and heal me too.
